New adaptation of the classic ESPer manga/anime. Dumped that same slot of death that Cosmo Warrior Zero was put in, it performed even worse in the ratings. Given the success of Yatterman, Golgo 13 (particular the earlier reruns) and Shin Mazinger, I wonder if produced now these shows with nostalgia appeal would be better positioned in the schedules.
Despite the low ratings on Japanese TV, this too was licensed and released in the US. Can’t imagine it set the world on fire, like the Matsumoto licences, I wonder if these are more favourites of the people deciding what to release rather than strong business decisions.
