HATE FUN? Autumn Anime Prejudged~! Part 6~!

Finally this thing is done. January, try not to have so many shows OK?

Clannad:After Story
WHAT IS IT? A sequel to an anime based on a “visual novel”

A typical Clannad fan, yesterday:

ef – a tale of memories
WHAT IS IT? A sequel to an anime based on a “visual novel”

CAPITAL LETTERS PEOPLE!

Akaneiro ni Somaru Saka
WHAT IS IT? An anime based on a “visual novel”

According to ANN this is an anime based on an “adult romance adventure game”

Macademi Wasshoi
WHAT IS IT? An anime based on a “light novel”

An anime about a school for wizards. Hasn’t this been done before? And wasn’t it shit then too?

Bihada Ichizoku
WHAT IS IT? An anime based on a cosmetics line. Or something.

Go read this. I’m not entirely sure I follow it, but it’s the sort of joined up thinking that US comics/cartoon companies fail to implement on a daily basis.

And it sounds barking mad. The director worked on Paprika as the director of photography. Could be worth a look, for novelty alone.

Netsusou! Kame 1 Grand Prix
WHAT IS IT? Gawd knows?

Talking of barking mad, this looks to be sort of gag anime that never gets translated.

So what’s on my hitlist?

MUST SEE:
These are the shows I have no reservations about and I’m getting kinda excited about.

Michiko to Hatchin
One Outs
Ride Back

ONES TO WATCH:
These are shows I’m going to check out, but currently have some reservations about either due to concept or staff.

Tytania
Hyakko
Mach Girl
Kemeko Deluxe
Casshern Sins
Hokuto no Ken Raoh Gaiden: Ten no Haoh
Kurozuka
Mouryou no Hako
Hakushaku to Yousei
Shikabane Hime – Aka
Kuroshitsuji
Stitch!
Tentai Senshi Sunred
Bihada Ichizoku

As you can see there’s plenty of potentially interesting shows, but not so many sure things. And one of my sure things, Ride Back, has apparently been bumped again to 2009.

  1. So I’ve been reading a few autumn previews and trying to do a bit of research on the ones I’m liking the look of… Well, Kurozuka. I can’t wait to see this animated. It’s probably best described as a twisted love story; not as sadistic or as slow as Shigurui, but it is gross, horrific and erotic. Lots of cool action scenes too. Anyway, suffice to say, along with One Outs, this is now my most anticipated autumn animé. God bless Madhouse!
