The biggest walk out was during Ante Up. Anime fans not liking rap music? What a surprise! Of course I’ve often found the opposite to be true in that rap fans will frequently like anime. From my point of view the Transport for London was the best video, as the open mouthed expressions of bewilderment on the audience’s faces was a cruel delight for me.

  1. I know this is out of the subject but I do love the typography you use on top to write “awesome engine”.
I want to ask you if you designed it all by yourself or is it a font I could find somewhere else ? I hope you will give some info about it ! By the way, thanks for your blog, always good mangaka and artworks !

    see you !

  2. On the subject of rap fans and anime, I remember in high school there would be typical gangstas with anime or Japanese theme shirts. One even yelled DESTRUCTO DISK as he threw a ball. Always made me take a second look.

  3. Cheers for this. I will say I think a few people left during the ante up showing at the end as they wanted to get to things that started in the next slot. I don’t think it was all hatred of rap… plus I think that video was AWESOME. Seriously funny. As was a lot else. I’m glad you got something out of it though… I was one of the audience members with a horrible expression of shock and dismay upon seeing the train video. urgh! >_>!!!
Thanks for hosting this though – I shouted out for the president one and am very, very happy you delivered. I may have been the only guy there familiar with the source material but oh well. In jokes are amusing ^_^
