Oddly, for a show that was massively popular, a big important part of the post-Pokemon anime explosion and based on the work of a creator who was instrumental in getting me into manga and anime, I’ve seen all of two episodes of InuYasha.
That’s not really a commentary on the show, simply I was one of those “I’m not watching a long running show” guys at this time and when I did get over that hump it was One Piece that sucked me in, rather than this tale of timeslips and demons.
The timing of it’s arrival on the US Cartoon Network in 2002 was fortuitous, four years after Pokemon, it was likely the right show to catch those kids who’d started on Pokemon in 98 and keep them interested in anime.
