Early 80s Monkey Punch manga gets the anime adaptation that no one asked for. I enjoyed it, mainly because it’s Monkey Punch and there were Rockford Files references. It tells the tale of detectives Ranma and Rella who after dying in an accident, mysteriously find themselves sharing the same body (though they aren’t aware of that at first). They switch between Ranma and Rella at midnight (hence the Cinderella reference) and the central gag is that each will find themselves transforming in the middle of the others case and have to solve them from scratch.
